About:
Who's Next is a reality competition series created by Flosports and presented by Tezos. It follows the journey of 16 up-and-coming grappling superstars as they compete in a single-elimination, submission-only tournament.
The Task:
To completely brand the show and create a series of assets used for promotions and within the series. We went through an intensive design and brand process in which there were multiple rounds of ideas before we landed. We took the brand factors and guidelines that we landed on, then went on to create many assets including a show animated intro, transitions, lower thirds, bracket graphics, athlete competition templates, posters, social promotions, plus much more. The show was a huge success in the grappling world.
Problems Solved:
Considering the amount of assets needed within the show and throughout the campaign, there needed to be a way to streamline some of them. My solution was to create template files for some of the repetitive graphics and animated assets so that myself or other editors involved in the series could easily just switch out text and save new versions. This saved a lot of time in the editing process.
